링전단시험을 이용한 말뚝 기초-사질지반 간 인터페이스 거동 분석

본 연구에서는 링전단시험 결과를 이용하여 말뚝-사질지반 사이의 전단거동을 정량화하였다. 링전단시험은 가장 일반적인 말뚝재료 - 콘크리트와 강 - 와 대표적인 사질토인 주문진표준사를 대상으로 수행하였으며, 두 재료 사이의 전단거동을 항복 이전과 잔류전단거동을 중심으로 확인하고 분석하였다. 시험결과를 통하여 다양한 상재압과 상대밀도의 영향 또한 분석하여, 그에 따른 전단거동을 각 재료 별 대표적인 마찰각으로 정량화하였다. 더 나아가, 추가적인 대변형 수치해석을 통하여 시험결과를 검증하였다. 링전단시험 및 수치해석을 수행한 결과, 사질토의 전단 중 발생하는 팽창과 수축 특성에 의하여 전단거동을 크게 두 가지로 구분할 수 있었다. 1) 상대밀도가 높은 시료일수록 두 재료 간 전단응력곡선은 첨두전단응력이 관찰된 후 잔류전단응력이 발현되는 개형을 나타내었고, 반면에 2) 상대밀도가 낮은 시료일수록 두 재료 간 전단응력곡선은 첨두전단응력의 발현 없이 바로 잔류전단응력이 발현되는 이중곡선 형태를 보였다. 상재압은 소변형 범위에서는 전단거동 형태와 마찰각에 영향을 주지만, 상대밀도와 마찬가지로 대변형 하에서는 유의미한 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 리메싱을 통한 대변형 수치해석 기법을 정립하여 링전단시험과 같은 대변형 전단거동을 모사하고 예측할 수 있도록 하였을 뿐 만 아니라, 링전단시험을 통하여 도출되고 대변형 수치해석으로 검증된 말뚝 재료와 사질토 사이의 마찰각은 실제 기초 말뚝의 수치해석과 설계에 적용할 수 있도록 하였다.

 

 

지하수위 영향인자에 따른 인공신경망 기반의 지하수위 예측 성능 분석

지하수위 변동은 지반의 응력 상태에 변화를 일으켜 기초구조물의 지지력 및 침하에 직?간접적인 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 연구 대상지역을 선정하여 지하수위 영향인자 분석을 수행하였다. 그 결과 대상지역에 따라 지하수위에 미치는 영향인자들이 각각 달랐으며, 규모가 큰 하천변에 위치한 도심지역의 경우 하천수위가 지하수위 변동에 영향을 미치는 주요 인자였으며, 지표면 포장율이 낮은 도외지역의 경우는 선행강우를 고려하기 위해 도입된 강우이동평균이 주요 인자였다. 또한, 여러 입력 인자 조합을 고려하여 인공신경망을 통한 지하수위를 예측을 수행하였다. 분석결과 주요 지하수위 영향인자가 지하수위 예측 성능에 미치는 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 결과적으로, 인공신경망을 이용하여 지하수위를 예측할때, 적절한 지하수위 영향인자 평가가 수행되어야 하며 이를 예측에 적용할 필요가 있는 것을 나타낸다.


국내 항만 및 어항시설의 액상화 평가에 있어서 액상화 가능성 지수의 적용성 검토

2016년 발생한 국내 계기 계측 사상 최대 규모의 경주지진과 2017년 팔레트구조 건축물의 기둥이 파괴되는 등 국내 최대 지진피해가 발생한 포항지진 이후, 국내 모든 시설물에 대한 내진설계기준이 개정되고 있으며 특히, 포항지진 피해사례 조사 도중 미국, 일본, 뉴질랜드 등 주로 강진지역 국가에서 발생하는 액상화 피해가 발견되어 이에 대한 설계기준의 보완도 심도있게 진행되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 최근 개정된 항만 및 어항시설 내진설계기준에서의 액상화 평가방법을 고찰하고 액상화 평가절차에 새롭게 인용된 액상화 가능성 지수(LPI)를 중심으로 적용성 검토를 수행하였다. 이때, 액상화 발생가능한 모래지반을 다양하게 조성하고 이에 대한 케이스별 LPI 값을 산정 비교하였다. 또한, 실제 22개소 항만의 지반자료를 이용하여 지진시 지반응답해석에 기초한 액상화 평가의 수행과 함께 22개소의 LPI 값들을 비교 검토하였다.

 

 

MLP 기반의 서울시 3차원 지반공간모델링 연구

최근 디지털 트윈 관점의 3차원 지하공간 지도의 수요 및 유관분야의 연계 활용 요구가 증대되고 있다. 그러나 전국단위의 지반조사 자료의 방대함과 이를 활용함에 있어 공간적/추계학적 기법 적용의 불확실성으로 인해 신뢰도 높은 지역적 지반특성화 연구와 그에 따른 최적화 모델 제시에 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 서울지역 3차원 지하공간의 공학적 지층분류를 위해 다층 퍼셉트론(MLP) 기반의 최적 학습모델을 구축하였다. 먼저, 서울지역에 분포하는 시추공별 층상구조 및 3차원 공간좌표를 표준화 서식에 따라 지반정보 데이터베이스로 구축하고 기계학습을 위한 결측치 보정, 정규화 등의 데이터 전처리를 하였다. MLP 모델의 파라미터 최적화와 정밀도 및 정확도 관련 모델 성능 평가를 통해 최적의 피팅 모델을 설계하였다. 이후 3차원 지반 공간레이어 구축을 위한 수치표고모델 기반 격자망을 구성하고, 단위격자별 MLP기반 예측모델 적용을 통한 층상구조를 결정하고 이를 가시화하였다. 구축된 3차원 지반모델은 범용적인 지구통계학적 공간보간 기법의 적용 결과 및 지질도의 표토층 성상과 비교하여 그 성능을 평가하였다.

편집위원장님 주재로 [지반]학회지의 구성과 방향 그리고 업무의 담당자를 결정하기 위한 회의가 있었습니다. 바쁘신 와중에도 오프라인/온라인으로 많은 수가 참석해 주셔서 학회지에 대한 긍정적인 논의를 수행할 수 있었습니다. 한 편으로는 코로나19의 영향으로 우리가 오프라인/온라인 병행 회의에 벌써 크게 익숙해졌다는 점에서 격세지감을 느끼기도 했습니다.

 

우리나라의 지반공학을 대표하는 큰 학회이니만큼, 다양한 회원들로 구성되고, 그에 따라 다양한 방향에서 학회지에 대한 기대와 요청이 있는 것 같습니다. 예를 들어 저의 경우에는, 학회지에서 지반공학의 실무와 적용에 관한 내용을 가장 많이 찾아보게 됩니다. 하지만 회원들의 흥미는 다양하여, 강의 형식의 기술기사를 가장 즐겨보시기도 하고, 최신 기술 동향의 파악을 위해 학회지를 보는 분들도 계시고, 또는 스포츠나 인문학에 관한 기사들을 선호하기도 한다는 것을, 회의를 통해 알 수 있었습니다.

 

우리는 소통이 중요한 시대에 살고 있고, 19대 한국지반공학회 정문경 회장께서도 이의 중요성을 강조한 바 있습니다. 사회적 거리를 확보해야 하는 당장의 상황 속에서도 한국지반공학회의 원활한 소통과 교류에 이바지할 수 있는, 그리고 회원들의 다양한 관심사에 부응할 수 있는 학회지가 되도록 하겠습니다.
